It’s a new layout. And it’s pretty. And I quite like it! After drowning in HTML/CSS & databases at work all day, the last thing I usually feel like doing when I get home is coding away some more, so it’s taken a while! It’s also taken me forever to come up with something that I’ve actually been happy with. I mocked up five designs before finally settling on this one. It’s quite simple, but I think that’s actually why I find it so appealing….
Just quickly I’d like to thank Amy Mahon for the very cute hand-drawn twitter bird, Laszlo Krokoska for the textured background & Fasticon for a few of the icons I’ve used in the footer menus.
Please let me know if something’s not quite right or if you have any suggestions! :)
Have you looked at it in IE? Not sure if this is what it’s supposed to look like, knowing your skills and generally good judgement :) (can’t see any icons anywhere either!)
But good on you for FINALLY getting around to it.

Jessness! What version of IE are you using? It may look a little bit funny in IE6.
This is mainly because IE6 is old. And you shouldn’t be running it. :P
Yay it’s awesome!! I tested in in IE and it looks fine (I think I have IE8).
The flickr stream bit at the top is broken in FireFox on Ubuntu. The last image is pushed down onto it’s own row, but it’s fine when you mouse over any image. I can give you a screenshot if you want?

Oooo, yes, I really like this layout. I’m always after something simple, so it’s not surprising that I’m digging it.

It’s all well and good to create a flash new site.. but if you don’t then use it, whats the point? Or is this like having the ferrari locked up in the garage, never used? :P
