For the last fortnight I’ve been ridiculously uni /work orientated. I’ve barely had time to think about anything else. Earlier today (well, I should actually say yesterday considering it’s 3:20AM) I decided I needed to take a little time out from all the uni work consuming my life.
The result? Nadinerine has a pretty new purple layout. I must admit though, I was kind of lazy. I didn’t code this one from scratch! It’s based on BigBrands, an awesome theme I found over on themeforest. I’ve spent quite a few hours customising it and turning it into a WordPress theme! I really, really, really like this one. It’s simple, clean and very easy to read.
I’m far too tired to extensively check cross browser compliancy right now! Please let me know if you spot any problems or if you have any suggestions! I’m off to bed! :)
Edit (25/10/09 6.30PM): Just because a few of you have commented on its awesomeness, the fantastic font I’ve used for the logo is Noir-et-Blanc.

This would be a good theme to convert to have the user pick a colour (purple/blue/green/etc) to view it in.

I love this new layout! It’s so sleek and neat. The contrasting background looks great as well.
The only thing I can think of is to have a fancier logo? The font for the current site name looks great but some simple designs to “brand” it might leave a deeper impression on your visitors. :)

Its lovely! It reminds me of a layout that Rosemarie of lifeasrose.ca (formerly sillyish) had many many years ago. I loved that layout then, and I love this one now!
The one thing that catches my eye about it negatively (theres lots that catch it positively, no worries) is how the title on the left and the top of the content on the right isn’t really aligned. If you have the title bumped down, I think your content shouldn’t start until a little lower also. I think if you were to take the most recent blog post and line it up with the title it would really even things out and make it a little more finished.
But yes, its lovely!
Thanks for your suggestion Mar! I know exactly what you mean. I just tried it out aligning the two columns but because the ascender on the ‘d’ in nadinerine.com is so tall it looks a little strange. I think I might have play a little more… :)
