Just thinking about the sheer volume of caffeinated beverages & iced tea I’ve consumed over the last week is downright scary. It’s assignment submission time at Uni!
My portfolio & resume were due (& consequentially submitted) this morning. I still have a presentation coming up next week and my major group ActionScript/3D game is due the week after. I’m most definitely going to be chained to my computer for the foreseeable future.

This photo of Chewie is an accurate representation of how I feel right now… a little wrecked. I can’t wait for Uni to be over for the year and for the Christmas holidays to begin! :)

Can’t wait*
Chewie doesn’t look wrecked. He looks calm and happy… just lounging. Thats how you’ll probably look at christmas :P
One of these days I’ll learn to type! Thanks K :)
Aww. I feel both of your pain. I hope things calm down for you, hun!
Thanks Caity! I’m sure they will! It’s just going to be a crazy few weeks. :)
OMG.. your cat looks JUST LIKE MINE!! My cat’s name is fuffuffooey.. Fooey for short (if you listen to howard stern you will get it a little better)
Anyways.. it is SCARY how much these two look alike. Down to the weird coloring on their backs. Its like a mix of tortiseshell with some tiger and calico. REALLY REALLY funny. They even have the same grouchy face!
heres the pictures:

OH MY!!!! Fooey does look like Chewy! :D :D :D What cute boys!
I just showed my flat mates and they couldn’t believe how much they looked alike!! :D
Your portfolio looks AMAZING. What did you print it on? It looks so professional! Also, cutest fluffikins ever! Aw, this makes me miss my kitty!
Aww thanks Christina! It was printed by blurb on their premium paper… it’s a little heavier than normal stock and has a pretty silky finish! :)
Its really freaky how much they look alike. I mean, i saw this picture and was like “How took a picture of my cat and used it as their own?!”
They must somehow be long lost cousins or something. I know they are not brother/sister (Fuffooey is a girl) because I had all of her litter mates in my house.. the momma is my chili cat (shes a LARGE calico)
Anyways, she is my little buddy. She follows me EVERYWHERE. As a matter of fact, she is sitting on the desk staring at me with those eyes.. those judging eyes
I am sure you will make it through to the Holidays. Then it will start all over again. Good luck.
Thanks :)
hopefully you are breathing again.
I just took a peek at your portfolio and it is AWESOME. I am going to show it to my daughter after her nap.
(nap. Heh heh heh, she is EIGHTEEN! And hoping to get into multimedia at Uni next year)
Hahaaaaa! I’m 22 and I still nap like crazy! It won’t get any better with her going to Uni next year! Promise. ;)
If she’d like to chat to someone who’s actually doing Multimedia just let me know! I could totally warn her as to the insane amount of work she’s in for. :P
Awww, at least the stress is over and you can relax now.
I adore your portfolio! May I have your skills please XD
Thanks Alice!!! I’m looking forward to relaxing for like, the next three months :)
I also think your work is great.. and the portfolio is also VERY nice.. There is only one issue with the blurb books that I have found – they do not lay flat. So over time, they are going to get very haggard.. AND you cant remove and add pages.
For a first portfolio, its great !! And the work is amazing.. I really should get some photos of my portfolio up. I just have a digital download of mine on my blog. We used the Pina Zangaro 11 x 17 and i like it because it lays flat and i can add an remove pages at will.
There is always that one piece that you get sick of looking at – i wanna be able to remove it
I know what you mean! I’ve put a Nadinerine layout in there. I’m now wishing I could take it out for some circumstances.
I think I may have to invest in a portfolio I can take pages out of! Thanks for suggesting the Pina Zangaro! I’m going to go have a look at one at some stage. :)
Pina Zangaro is like the standard in graphic design portfolios. they are expensive, but they are worth it. When i designed my first portfolio i searched EVERYWHERE for a cheaper alternative. Luckily i live near yale and there is an AMAZING art store that cropped up for the yalies in art classes. They had every brand possible of portfolios and nothing compared to the acrylic cover Pina Zangaro portfolios.
You can even get the covers screen printed with your own logo, date, and designs.
There is no reason why you can’t have multiple portfolios for different clients, but there is always that ONE design that you wish you could remove. The pina portfolios let you do that because they have a screw post and sheet protectors.
I’ll upload pics of mine and post them on my blog. I’ll let youi know when they are up
Oh yes please! That’d would be awesome! :)
