This is how I feel right now.

Just thinking about the sheer volume of caffeinated beverages & iced tea I’ve consumed over the last week is downright scary. It’s assignment submission time at Uni!

My portfolio & resume were due (& consequentially submitted) this morning. I still have a presentation coming up next week and my major group ActionScript/3D game is due the week after. I’m most definitely going to be chained to my computer for the foreseeable future.

Perfect representation of how I feel right now - wrecked.

This photo of Chewie is an accurate representation of how I feel right now… a little wrecked. I can’t wait for Uni to be over for the year and for the Christmas holidays to begin! :)

At least the middle of nowhere is pretty.

I spent last weekend in the middle of nowhere. Literally. One of the boy’s cousins had what I’m now referring to as the “wilderness wedding.” I can understand why they chose to have their wedding (in the middle of nowhere) at Meringa Springs though… the venue was stunning & the Saturday afternoon weather was gorgeous. It was actually a very beautiful ceremony.

That said, our accommodation was not quite so beautiful.

  • The hard wired fire alarms were malfunctioning and went off every few minutes until about three in the morning.
  • It was disgustingly hot and the swimming pool was green.
  • I had no phone reception. I felt ridiculously disconnected without phone reception. The boy and his family taunted me constantly. :(
  • Oh, and I am STILL scratching myself silly where I was eaten alive by countless bugs.

I kind of wish we’d been told our accommodation was basically camping!

Anyway, it was only an overnight trip. We headed back to Melbourne first thing Sunday morning. The pictures below were taken at Mackenzie Falls in the Grampians. We detoured on the way home. :)

Driving Down Chapel Street

Dear pedestrian,

I’m not a very good driver and my concentration span is not what you would call awesome. It probably does not help that I like my music quite loud whilst driving. Please stop running out in front of me. One of these days I’m very likely to not actually notice you.

Much love,
Nadine.

Fat Belly & Google – The Fishys.

Fat Belly & Google!!!

Spent this afternoon shopping with the boy. We were mostly well behaved and didn’t spend too much money. Well, until we decided going to the pet shop was a good idea.

We came out with cat food, cat toys, cat nip, a new fish tank (the old one was leaking water everywhere) & most importantly a new fish! They wouldn’t stop moving long enough for me to take a decent picture. The orange & white fish is Fat Belly, he was a 4 year anniversary present from Adam earlier this year. The black guy is our new fishy! He has MASSIVE pop-out eyes so we named him Google.

The boy thinks we should call our next fish Ask Jeeves. Or possibly Yahoo. :P

Just thought I’d share with you a few awesome things I’ve stumbled across around the internet this week!!!

Polaroid Lives -
Yay! They’re gonna start producing Polaroid film again! Even though I don’t use it all that often I wasn’t quite ready to part with my Polaroid camera.

feedingthewolves James Gulliver Hancock
This guy is a brilliant illustrator.  I love his quirky style.  The first illustrations I ever saw of his were on a  Josh Pyke album cover.  I keep spotting his illustrations everywhere now! Earlier this week it twigged that the Swinburne University use a few of his illustrations scattered though out their website!

Oh, and talking of Josh Pyke? Saw him live (again) last Thursday night! He always puts on a beautiful show! ♥

Keyboard Stickers -
I think I really really want. Actually, I would have already purchased these by now except I can’t decide whether to get the Flash ones, the After Effects ones or both…

CarveCarve iPhone Case -
This is the sleekest & classiest looking iPhone case I’ve seen in a long time! Thanks for showing me this Tanya. :)
